Through both my experience as a social worker, as well as a mother myself, I came to realise that motherhood brings along not only a journey of wonder, love and newfound joys but also new challenges and complexities that we cannot fully understand before directly experiencing them. I believe that every parenting journey needs to start in a positive way and therefore, parents should also have the right to seek and live positive birth experiences, no matter what their choices are.

I went through a hard time as a second time mum and hence my interest in studying and becoming a postpartum doula in 2020. Through my work as a social worker for the last 18 years, i have understood that the postpartum period is a crucial time for nurturing both child, mother and father or any caregiver that identifies him/herself as the primary caregiver. Hence, my work as a postpartum Doula with families was the natural next thing to explore in my career.

In 2024 I have decided to target new mothers and loneliness and working towards bringing back the village that we have lost throughout the last couple of decades. 'Baby and Me' was born. These group sessions try to support new mothers and their babies through unstructured discussions while babies have a safe space where to play, roll and relax.
