Doula Support Program

Making Doula Care Accessible to All Families

 

At the Malta Doula Association, we believe that every mother and family deserves compassionate, continuous support through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period—regardless of their financial situation.

 

Our Doula Support Program is funded through membership fees and donations, and is designed to provide access to professional doula services for those who would otherwise be unable to afford them.

 

What the Program Covers:

Eligible families may receive fully or partially funded support for the following services:

• Birth Preparation Sessions – Practical and emotional preparation for labor and delivery

• Childbirth Support – Continuous presence and support from a trained doula during labor and birth

• Postpartum Support – Care and guidance in the early weeks following birth, tailored to each family’s needs

 

How It Works:

• Families can apply directly through a simple, confidential application form.

• Doulas who are members of the Malta Doula Association may also refer clients they believe would benefit from this support.

• Approved applicants will be matched with a participating doula, based on availability and needs.

• Funding is granted based on available resources and may cover services in full or in part.

 

Who Can Apply:

• Pregnant individuals or families living in Malta

• Those experiencing financial hardship or specific personal circumstances that limit access to private doula care
